Need Some Support

My father and my step-mother drink a little to much and it really hurts me when I see them drink. Because my dad use to believe in the lord and well he does not anymore. I have praying that he will come back to the lord one day. I also try to get him to come to church with me. But it’s not working and I am getting to the point that I should just give up. Because I don’t know what to do anymore.

    God…
We want to pray for our friend who posted this prayer request.

First we pray for hope. Hope that encourages our friend and keeps them moving forward through daily life of school and family with anticipation and peace. Remind our friend that while there might not be much to cling to for hope in our world, we can look to and cling to you. Help our friend cling to you. To look to the one who spoke all of creation into existence. The one who became a human baby and lived with human parents and experience parental disappointments like our friend. Where our friend is weak to keep holding on, we pray you take over. Help our friend to keep being able to show love to their parents and remind them of the power of prayer. Your bible is full of people and situations that called for persistent prayer and may that spur our friend on.

We join with them in praying for mom & dad. We ask you help mom and dad but alcohol in it’s proper place in their lives according to your word. Set them free from any grip that alcohol has on their lives. Help mom & dad to see, hear and understand how their child is feeling about how they are living their lives and is being impacted by them. Draw them back to you Lord. Give our young friend wisdom in how to love and act around mom & dad and know what to say and when to say it. Cover that family with your love. Shower them with grace. Bring them together in unity. Grant them the ability to forgive. Humble them so they can walk with you.
    Amen
