Although it hurt me greatly because it destroyed our 12 year marriage, my ex-husband silently suffered for years as a porn addict. Unfortunately, to the best of my knowledge I'm still the only one that knows this.

Sometimes there's more to the story than meets the eye. Rebellion isn't always negative and anti-Christian. Sometimes it means going against what the world says is right and following Christ. And "extreme": well, many think that being a true follower of Christ is extreme. Haircolor is a rather neutral avenue for artistic expression.

Interesting to note: Splat has sponsored Pushing Art @The Venue, an art group for high school students and young adults in Murrieta, CA at Chorus Church. The leader is Splat's Creative Director, a serious follower of Christ, who's passion is to reach out to young adults with the love of God and use art as a healing medium of appropriate self-expression and ultimately peace with God and themselves. (Art has always been a part of the Christian history and believers have used it to communicate the wonder and mysteries of God's world, including their own inner life). This leader and artist sees hair color for what it is: hair color. Nothing more. Some people use paint on a canvas and some use their hair. It's what's in the heart that matters, "not that which goes into a man, but that which comes out" that defiles a man.

Do some use extreme hair color to express an angry, immoral, "rebellious" world view? Yes, of course. But others do so for exactly the opposite reasons. While marketing is a powerful communicator and influencer in our society, Splat's marketing should be seen in perspective. It is promoting extreme, colorful hair color. That's all. Consumers make life choices and hair color is really a rather minor issue on the grand scheme of things.

I'm pretty sure details on tax receipts are available on the website.

(at this point she opens a new tab and goes to look)

Yeah - there is a tab for details on donations on the site www.freedomrelaycanada.com if you want to check that out - under "Donate/Submit Pledges".

They mention that tax receipts are issued through CEASE - so I googled that, and got this website:
http://www.canadahelps.org/CharityProfilePage.aspx?CharityID=s88537

If you get any more questions I'd just direct them to either this page or the event page - all the details are in one place & saves you having to ask on their behalf :D
